Robert M. Gundle, Jr. Age 76. Recipient of Purple Heart, U.S. Army Veteran During Korean War

Robert M. Gundle Jr., died on
devoted
wife of 51 years, Joan Marie (nee Hagan). Devoted father of Joanie (Jim)
Heiser, Mary Jane Van Fossen, Robert M. (Debbie) Gundle, III, Edward J. (Carol) Gundle, William C. Gundle,
Nancy J. Gundle, Patricia A. (Brian) Buck, John A. (Tina) Gundle and the late
Deborah A. Gundle. Loving son of the late Robert M. Gundle, Sr. and the late Mary
Elizabeth (nee Remmington). Cherished grandfather of 16. Survived by Pete
(Marie) Remmington, many nieces, nephews, cousins and his dog, Mittens.
Robert
was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City and proudly served our country in
the U.S. Army during Korean War. He was a proud recipient of a Purple Heart
Medal and many other medals for exceptional service to our country. Robert was
a member of the Townsend C. Young V.F.W Post # 3620 in Gloucester City and
Brooklawn American Legion Post 72 for many years.
He worked as a truck driver
for Teamsters Local # 676 in Collingswood. Robert was an avid fisherman who
loved to fish at the Mini-Hole in Gloucester City. Robert loved to spend time
with his family.
Relatives, friends and members of the V.F.W Post and American
Legion Post are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Monday Evening from 7
to 9 pm and Tuesday morning from 10 to 11 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME:
851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Methodist Religious
Service 11 am in the funeral home officiated by Dr. Richard Leaver of Trinity
United Methodist. Interment with Military Honors in Beverly National Cemetery,
Beverly.
