On August 30, 2008. (nee Gogolin) Age 94. Surrounded and Cared for
by her loving family. Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 35 years to the late
Frank J. Flagg. Loving mother of the late Dora Flagg, Winnie (late Joe)
Cipriani, the late Frank (late Gerry) Flagg, Theresa (Bob) Olsen, John (Sue)
Flagg, Joan (Jim) Kerrigan and Maryann (George) Johnson. Loving grandmother of
18 and the late Sean Flagg. Loving great-grandmother of 35. Loving sister of Mary
Law, Helen Prelas and the late John Gogolin. Also survived by many nieces,
nephews and cousins. Dear friend of the Dominican Sisters of Hope of St. Mary’s
R.C. Church.
Winnie was born in Philadelphia and had been a resident of
Gloucester City for 92 years. She was a faithful and devoted parishioner of St.
Mary’s R.C. Church and never missed Eucharistic Adoration or the Miraculous
Medal Novena on Monday nights. Winnie worked for over 25 years in the cafeteria
of St. Mary’s grammar school.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to
attend her viewing on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday morning from
10 to 11:30 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street. Gloucester
City, NJ 08030. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 am in the
church. There will be no services at the funeral home. Interment New Saint
Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial
donations in Winnie’s memory to the Dominican Sisters of Hope: 820 Hudson St.
