CAMDEN — Gloucester City, a stone's throw from the Broadway marine terminal of the South Jersey Port Corp., joined Camden residents Tuesday in opposing placement of a methadone clinic within the port."Just do the math," Gloucester City Councilman Nicholas F. Marchese Jr. told the board of directors at its meeting Tuesday.
"We spend millions to revitalize our downtown and riverfront then you want to flood the area with drug addicts," Marchese said. "This will kill Gloucester. We'd like you and the state to look at alternate sites."
