Two weeks ago, I wrote a column about “Americans loving their dogs.” I also shared the top 10 most popular male and female dog names in the United States and invited readers to submit their favorite dog names and why. Well, the votes are in for the Coulee Region’s unofficial “Top Dog Name.”
Drum roll, please.
Five names shared top honors. They are Lambeau, Charlie, Bandit, Chester and Remington.
Yet, what is most intriguing is how dogs acquire their names.
I received many responses. Some were touching. Others were downright funny.
