13-Year-Old New Jersey Football Player Died From Undetected Heart Condition

Link: FOXNews.com A 13-year-old New Jersey football player who collapsed during practice Monday and later died had an undetected heart condition, WNBC is reporting. The preliminary results of an autopsy on Sean Fisher revealed the heart condition, according to the report. Fisher's death was the first of two youth football-related deaths this week in New Jersey. Douglas Morales, 17, died Tuesday night at Hackensack Medical Center of a subdural hematoma, or excessive bleeding in the brain. Gloucester City Officials meet with Tenants Association

By Albert J.Countryman Jr. Gloucester City officials met with members of the Chatham Square Tenants Association last week to discuss chronic maintenance problems and safety issues at the apartments, which had been purchased by Gloucester City this April. Mayor William James, City Councilmen Bruce Parry, Jay Brophy, Nick Marchese and John Hutchinson, and William Daly, president of Community Investment Strategy (CIS) Management, discussed many issues with some 35 tenants. Webers Cafeteria/Restaurant closed its doors

In 1973 Frank Weber bought out his partner and changed the name to Weber's Cafeteria. Around 20 years later Dennis Weber and his sister, Sandra Moszkowicz, took over the family business from their father. Pet dog chases off three bears

The trio – apparently a mother bear and two cubs -- were spotted near Eder Avenue, just off Route 208, were reported by a residents this morning, police said. TRENTON - Luis Silva, 54, the New Jersey Corrections Ombudsman, died on Tuesday afternoon after a short illness, New Jersey Public Advocate Ronald K. Chen announced today. Silva, a Mantua Township resident, served as the Corrections Ombudsman since 2001, first as part of the Department of Corrections and then as part of the Department of the Public Advocate when it was restored in 2006. Three conferences considered for realignment

The realigment plan, devised by a state association 33-member committee to address the issue of imbalance between public and non-public schools, eliminates traditional leagues in North Jersey for football.
