Holy Maternity Parish turns 50

Birthday_cake Bishop Joseph Galante celebrated Mass in Holy Maternity Church, Audubon, to mark the 50th anniversary of the parish on Sunday, Oct. 7.

The parish had its beginnings as a mission of Sacred Heart Parish, Mount Ephraim, with the first Mass celebrated in 1953 in the Audubon Park Community Hall.

The cornerstone for the current church was laid in 1954, and the parish was established three years later. The current pastor is Father Robert A. Cairone.
