The first arriving units reported heavy fire conditions within the yard. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a pile of automobiles approx 50x100 well involved. I would like to thank Gloucester City Mayor Bill James for resolving a problem that I have had since late September. I had three trees removed from my property in late September. The tree grew around the Verizon and Comcast lines. The landscapers were unable to remove the branched from the wires. Gloucester City School District to cut 17 percent of Work Force

SARAH GREENBLATT Courier-Post Staff Courier Post Citing a $7.2 million shortfall in state aid, the Gloucester City school board on Tuesday adopted a 2007-08 budget that is expected to force the district to lay off 17 percent of its work force and eliminate key programs.
