HAUCKES, CELESTINE T.
Sadly on December 13, 2006. (nee Herget), age 82, a resident of Gloucester City since 1972. Born and raised in Philadelphia.
Beloved wife of Arthur P. Hauckes. Loving mother of Robert (Teresa) of San Jose, CA, Joseph (Karen) of Cliffton Heights, PA, Kathleen of Gloucester City and Daniel of Arden, NC. Devoted aunt to Mary Ethel (Steve) Palys of Gloucester City and Dennis (Dawn) Lenahan of Virginia Beach, VA. Loving grandmother of Alexandrea, Brendan, Dylan, Patrick, Anthony, Michael, Brian, Kimberly and Matthew. Her 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
Celestine was previously an avid bowler and treasurer of the Sterling String Band for many years. A member of St. Mary's Parish, Gloucester City Senior Citizens and every other day she and Arthur had lunch at the Gloucester Heights Fire Hall.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00PM and again on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30AM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 Powell St., Gloucester City, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM at St. Mary's Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the Family requests memorial donations be made to the Aid to Aging Fund, C/O Sr. Mary Ryan, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, NJ, 08030.
