Peter J. Fanelle
On December 20, 2006. Of Haddonfield. Formerly of Haddon Heights. Age 84. Surrounded and cared for by his wife of 64 years, Lydia P. (nee Palusci). Devoted father of Thomas J. Fanelle and his wife Doris of Haddon Heights, Lisa F. Sarubbi and her husband Vincent of Haddon Heights and Celeste Canuso and her husband John of Haddonfield. Beloved grandfather of Jillian and her fiancé Dan Goettner, Gigi and Thomas Fanelle, Vincent, Peter and Sofia Sarubbi and Isabella, John, and James Canuso. Dear Brother of Mary DiSilvestro of Wildwood and Elizabeth Bechta of Deptford. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Peter was born and raised in South Camden and was the owner and past president of R. Fanelle’s Sons of Camden along with his late brothers. R. Fanelle Sons was founded by Peter’s Parents in 1914 and continues today on Ferry Ave. in South Camden. Peter lived in Haddon Heights for 28 years and has been a resident of Haddonfield for the last 27 years. He was a parishioner of Saint Rose of Lima R.C. Church in Haddon Heights. Peter was a past member of UNICO in Pennsauken and the Sons of Italy Lodge in South Camden. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Saturday morning from 9 am to 11 am at Saint Rose of Lima R.C. Church: 4th Avenue at Kings Highway, Haddon Heights, NJ 08035. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 am in the church. Entombment Calvary Mausoleum, Cherry Hill. There will be no evening viewing. Family requests that memorial donations be made in Peter’s memory to the Canuso Foundation: 30 Washington Avenue, Suite B4, Haddonfield, NJ 08033 or to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception: 642 Market Street, Camden, NJ 08102.
