Charles J. Hagan Sr., of Gloucester City passed away on November 28, 2006 at the age of 71.
Charles was born, raised and lived his entire life in Gloucester City. He worked 32 years for the Gloucester City Water Department and retired in 1991 as a senior water repairman. Charles was a volunteer fireman for Gloucester City Fire Department # 4 for nine years. He was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church in Gloucester City. Charles loved to fix televisions and stereos and was extremely gifted in creating objects out of wood.
Loving husband of the late Annamarie (nee Brunhamer). Beloved Son of the late Joseph Hagan, Sr. and Amber (Nee Broadwater). Devoted father of Cheryl Feaster, Karen Cross, Chris Mellon, Charles J. Hagan, Jr. Sandy Marti and Scott Hagan all of Gloucester City.
Dear brother of Mary Johnson, James Hagan, Ida Yourison, Gloucester City Councilman William Hagan, Joan Gundle, Jean Eller and the late Margie Snyder, Emma McNutt, Harry Hagan, Duncan Hagan, Catherine Rusk and Joseph Hagan. Beloved grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 1.
Relatives, friends, co-workers and fellow fireman are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Friday from 6 to 9 pm and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:45 am at McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, (at Atlantic Street) Gloucester City. Interment New Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
