Services For Newborn Baby  Will Be Private; Family Request Memorial Donations To Pediatric Care Unit

Funeral services for Sean Edward Colvin, 25 days old, of Brooklawn will be held privately under the direction of the McCann Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City.

Sean is the newborn baby that was tragically killed last weekend in Brooklawn.  He died on Sunday, November 19, 2006, in Cooper University Hospital, Camden where he had been taken for treatment.

The woman who attacked the baby, Gloria J. Carter, 34, has been charged with his murder.  Carter is accused of cutting open the baby’s abdomen with a sharp object and throwing the infant down a flight of stairs.  Carter, was identified as the former girlfriend of the baby's father, Edward Thomas Colvin, of the 300-unit block of Chestnut Street were the incident occurred.  The suspect was staying at the home temporarily. 

Besides his father Sean is survived by his mother Stella Farrish of Camden; paternal grandson of David and Jeanette Colvin of Villages, Florida; maternal grandson of Costella Farrish of Camden.  Also survived by a brother Ya’sir Crouch and loving nephew of Barbara Farrish of Camden.

The viewing, catholic funeral service and interment are private for the family.  There are no public services.  Family requests that memorial donations be made in Baby Sean’s memory to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit c/o Children’s Regional Hospital, Cooper University Hospital: 1 Cooper Plaza, Camden, NJ 08103.
