Phillyweather.net-The same storm system that impacted us on Thursday with heavy rain and gusty winds has also struck much of the South and East of the US, killing eight in North Carolina alone in a tornado.

The aftermath of the storms will be a cooldown in the region but it will be a gradual, slow step down each day. Temperatures on Friday will be near 60 in the region, a fair bit cooler than the 72 Philadelphia experienced for a high temperature on Thursday but still above normal.
