Funeral services will be held Tuesday at St. Marys Church for Jospeh A. Pryzwara, 78, of Gloucester City, who died on August 4, 2006.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years to Patricia M. (nee Mischler).

Devoted and caring father of Rita Johnson of Cherry Hill, Patti Pryzwara (Ken MacAdams) of Brooklawn and Frank Pryzwara (Fran) of Pilesgrove.

Beloved Grandfather of Maxwell Joseph Pryzwara of Pilesgrove. Dear Brother of Edward Pryzwara (Anna Rose) of Mullica Hill, Lillian Villanova (nee Pryzwara) (Emilio) of Gloucester Heights, Dot MacLennan (nee Pryzwara) (late George Jacob and the late John) of Gloucester Heights, and the late Adolph and Cecelia Pryzwara, and the late Jessica and Alexander Grynkiewicz.

Also, survived by many loving brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, and cousins.

A resident of Gloucester Heights for the last 70 years, Joe was a dedicated parishioner of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church in Gloucester City. He was a founding member of the Gloucester City Concerned Citizens Group.

Also a member of the Musicians Union in Philadelphia, Joe headed up the Al Joseph’s Trio, popular in South Jersey and Philadelphia. Self-employed as a home remodeler, he was a true craftsman who enjoyed working with his hands; he was also former owner of Central Fuel in Gloucester City.

He was an avid sports fan, with a special passion for the Boston Celtics Professional Basketball Team. Joseph took great pleasure in being surrounded by family/ friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, with a special love of boating and fishing.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday August 8 from 8:30 to 10:15 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church.Interment Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing. There will be no evening viewing.

Family requests that memorial donations be made in Joseph’s memory to Saint Mary’s R.C.
