Drass, Donald C., age 86 years, Decorated World War II Hero and Friend of Woodbury died on Feb. 13, 2012 at his home after a courageous battle.
Legacy
Don was a character who inspired all who entered his life. Born in Hollidaysburg, PA. After High School Graduation, Don joined the United States Army serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre during WWII. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Silver Star Medals in recognition of his valor in service to his country. Don was "Mr. Fix It" to everyone who had problems with their lawn mowers, vacuums, or fans. A member of Holy Angels Parish in Woodbury, Don was also a member of Oil, Chemical & Atomic Workers, the Moose, and the Teamsters.

Dear brother of Edward Drass, Sr.; Beloved uncle of Susan (Joe) Conte (nee Drass), Audrey (Bob) Vargo (nee Drass), Natalie (Joe) Leemon (nee Drass), Barbara Drass Criswell, Anne Farley Musser, Wilbur (Diane) Farley, Edward Drass, Jr., Virginia Drass Crego, Theresa (Kevin) Burt (nee Drass) and James Drass; loving grand uncle to many loving grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Paul and William, his sister Jane Mittendorfer and nephews Fr. Damian Drass and William Patrick Drass.

Viewing Sunday evening 1 to 3 pm in the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ. Funeral Mass Saturday, Feb 25 at 11am in St. Michaels R.C. Church, 301 Spruce St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM. Interment Old St. Mary's Cemetery, Hollidaysburg In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's RC Church, 62 Cooper St., Woodbury, NJ 08096 or Mass Cards would be appreciated
