Grace A. Sulkowski 93, of Clearwater, FL passed away on April 15, 2018 at Brandywine Senior Living. Grace was born on September 9, 1924, in Jessup, PA, the daughter of Angelo and Mary Messineo. She is survived by her loving son, Gary Sulkowski, his partner John Walker, and two special nieces Roxanne and Mary Elaine Cimo. Grace is also survived by her brothers Louis, Joseph and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Leonard and Anthony and her sisters Jenny, Theresa, and Lena.
Grace was a longtime volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen in Clearwater, FL, with her best friend Jan Bachus. There she served hot meals, provided clothing and necessities to those in need. Her generosity towards others was life changing. In addition to her volunteer work, Grace enjoyed drawing, exercising, yoga and competitive ballroom dancing.
Grace will always be remembered for her sense of class, beautiful smile, infectious laugh, sense of humor, unconditional love and willingness to place other’s needs before her own. In life, Grace exhibited strength, courage, a steadfast drive to overcome adversity and live life fully. She also exhibited passion for helping others reach their own personal best. Her love, compassion, and bravery shined strong throughout her life. She is my mom – Grace Sulkowski.
