GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (January 11, 2018)There was a traffic accident on Essex Street near the railroad early this evening. The driver of a pickup truck lost control of his vehicle and drove into a house.
Asked about the incident, Gloucester City Police Lt. He was the only occupant of the vehicle and nobody was in the house. When I have all of the details, I'll let you know. It's been a busy afternoon."

Sunday, January 7 at approximately 1400 hrs Squad 51 provided mutual aid to Collingswood for a report of a heavily involved fire on Sloan ave. As with other fires this week, freezing temperatures made operations more difficult. The Squad company laid about 800ft of supply line to assist in water supply. Due to wires burning companies were put in defensive mode until power could be shut off. Squad 51 helped operate master streams to extinguish the fire. Great job by all. No injuries were reported.
