GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ--Thursday, April 20, 2017, at approximately 11:34 pm, Gloucester Township Police received notification of a single vehicle motor vehicle crash, involving a rollover. The motor vehicle crash was reported to be in the 1400 block of Kearsley Rd. and also involved a downed tree.
Officers arrived to find a vehicle off the roadway, and on its roof. One occupant of the vehicle was being removed by EMS and Fire personnel. This victim was displaying critical head, neck and spinal injuries. Another occupant had been ejected from the vehicle, was conscious and dazed, walking around the scene. A third passenger was also walking around the scene, with visible minor injuries.
A medical evacuation helicopter was called for but was unable to be utilized due to hazardous weather conditions. The Critical patient was transported to Cooper Trauma for treatment. The other two occupants were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
No names have been released pending notification of family members. The crash is currently under investigation by the Gloucester Township Serious Crash Investigation Team.
