GLOUCESTER CITY NJ (April 4, 2017)--Gloucester City Police arrested two East Thompson Avenue residents on March 25 on narcotic charges. Assisting the local police with the arrest were members of the Camden County Sheriff's Department S.E.R.T. Team. The police released the following statement regarding the drug raid.
On the morning of March 25, 2017 the GCPD Detective Bureau along with the Camden County Sheriff’s Department S.E.R.T. Team executed a search warrant at an apartment in the unit block of Thompson Avenue, culminating an investigation into the distribution or narcotics from the apartment. As a result, over one pound of marijuana, packaging materials, and over $3,000 in US currency were seized. Michael J. Moore (52) and Joe A. Gasper-Flores (32), both residents of the apartment, were charged with possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, distribution within 1000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released after processing as per bail reform guidelines.
Those charged are presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
