GLOUCESTER CITY NJ (April 3, 2017)--Gloucester City police released a statement today about the arrest of the burglary suspect on Sunday night in the Heights section of Gloucester City.
On April 2 at 9:52 pm officers responded to the area of Nicholson Road at University Avenue for a report of a car burglary suspect being chased on foot by a resident. Upon arrival, the resident stated he observed the suspect inside of his friend’s vehicle in the 200 block of Nicholson Road. When he confronted the suspect, he fled west on Nicholson Road. A perimeter was established with the assistance of Brooklawn Police officers and the suspect was apprehended in the rear yard of a Temple Avenue residence. Further investigation resulted with James R. Hamilton (29), a resident of Camden, being charged with burglary, defiant trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia. After processing, he was remanded to Camden County Jail.
