WOODBURY NJ (March 6, 2017)--Two women have joined the ranks of the prosecutorial and investigative staffs of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.
“March is National Women’s History Month, and we are pleased to have another two capable women sharing the duties of this office,” said Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton.
Sworn in today as an assistant prosecutor by Superior Court Judge Kevin T. Smith was Kernie Desir. A Philadelphia native, Ms. Desir is a 2016 Widener (DE) University School of Law graduate and previously was an attorney with the Liberty Law Group in Reading PA. Her initial assignment will be to the GCPO’s grand jury unit.
Taking the oath of office from Prosecutor Dalton as a GCPO detective was Colleen McCausland. A seven-year investigator with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, McCausland is a graduate of Rutgers University in Camden. A member of a large law enforcement family, McCausland is the daughter of retired CCPO Captain James McCausland and two brothers serve with the Audubon Police Department and the Delaware River Port Authority Police.
