--PHILADEPHIA PA--Faithful throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia are invited to a prayer service for justice for immigrants and refugees. Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. will preside over the Evening Prayer and will also offer remarks.
Sunday, March 19, 2017
Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul
18th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway
Philadelphia, PA 19103
This prayer service is intended to support and encourage all immigrants seeking to create a new life in our country.
All are encouraged to respond to the plight of immigrants in our parishes and communities in three ways: Catholics should understand the challenges immigrants face each day and know the Church's position in support of just immigrant reform, write to Congress offering support of the U.S. Catholic Bishops Immigrants Campaign, and bring concerns for justice before the Lord in personal prayer.
