MOUNT EPHRAIM NJ (March 20, 2017)(CNBNewsnet)--The Mount Ephraim Police are investigating a report of a shooting that occurred on Saturday, March 18 at the Willow Glen Apartment complex, 279 South Black Horse Pike at approximately 6 pm. The affordable living complex is located next to McDonald's.
According to the press release, officers quickly responded to the scene and were met with altering witness statements. Mt. Ephraim police and assisting officers from Gloucester City, Brooklawn, Bellmawr and Audubon immediately set up a perimeter and began searching the area for involved parties as it was reported that one of the subjects involved fled on foot toward James Street. It was soon confirmed that the subject observed fleeing on foot was the target of the shooting and not the suspected shooter.
Local police detectives were able to confirm that the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting, fled the area in a silver four door sedan (possibly a late model Kia Forte) seconds after the shooting occurred.
Police said details of the investigation to this point have led investigators to determine that this was an isolated incident, between subjects known to each other and not a random act.
