GLOUCESTER CITY NJ (February 9, 2017)--Wednesday, February 8 at 5:35 pm Gloucester City police officers assigned to the Directed Patrol Unit were working a plain clothes detail investigating narcotics distribution activity in the area of Broadway and Market Street. During that investigation, Patrolman Sean Saunders and Patrolman Shea O’Donnell arrested Albert L. Thompson age 32.
Thompson, a resident of the 700 unit block of Market Street, was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Gloucester City and was subsequently found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and cocaine.
He was charged with possession of CDS (heroin and cocaine), possession of CDS with intent to distribute, distribution of CDS within 1000’ of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe. He was later remanded to Camden County Jail pending a detention hearing.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
