CAMDEN CITY NJ (June 26, 2013)--Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a string of shootings in Camden Tuesday into Wednesday that left five people injured with gunshot wounds.
The first was reported about 1:30 p.m. near 7th Street and Ferry Avenue. A 21-year-old Camden man was shot in the hand while driving a Mercury Villager on Ferry Avenue. He sped away from the scene toward Mount Ephraim Avenue. The victim was treated at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
The second incident was reported about 2:10 p.m. at 7th and Elm streets. A 19-year-old Camden man and a 21-year-old Barrington man were both shot multiple times. Both were being treated at Cooper Hospital in Camden.

The final incident was reported about 2:30 a.m. A 53-year-old cab driver from Camden was shot in both arms after a passenger directed him to drive to 29th and Buren streets and attempted to rob him. After the shooting the victim drove himself to the Camden County Metro Division Police headquarters on Federal Street and reported the incident. He was released from Cooper Hospital overnight.
