Gentlemen:
Reading of the honors bestowed upon Officer Blackburn brought to mind a courageous act by Gloucester City Police Officer Daniel Jennings in the early 1930's.
At that time a bank on the S.W. Corner of King & Monmouth St's. was in operation. The bank was held-up at gun point and as the robbers attempted their escape by car Officer Jennings ran to the car, jumped upon the running board as it sped away and apprehended the robbers.
I would consider that an act of heroism worthy of note in the Gloucester City News and on CNBNews.net blog.
