On 05/02 at 2203 officers investigating a sexual assault at a residence on Victoria Place encountered Patrick Elliott (40) of said residence. Elliott had discarded evidence into the street and was told he was under arrest. Elliott failed to comply with officers’ commands and attacked the officers, head-butting one officer and attempting to knock the second officer to the ground. Elliott was subdued after a brief struggle and then began to spit blood at the officers. He was charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Justice and Tampering with Evidence. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail.

On 04/27 at 0711 a residence of the 100 block of N. King Street reported that sometime overnight a television and Nintendo Wii system were stolen from inside of the residence.
On 04/27 at 1732 a property check on the 400 block of Market Street led to the arrest of Thomas Pease (42) of the 200 block of S. Broadway. Pease was located inside of the abandoned property drinking beer. He was charged with Defiant Trespass and released.
On 04/28 at 0632 two residents of the unit block of Lehigh Ave reported that tires on their vehicles were slashed overnight. Both vehicles had two tires damaged.
On 04/28 at 2013 two vehicle burglaries were reported on the 700 block of Monmouth Street. The suspect entered the vehicles and removed a GPS unit, Blue Tooth headset, and gold/silver coins. An investigation led to the arrest of Scott Welsh (40) of Magnolia. Welsh was arrested on 05/01 and charged with two counts each of Burglary and Theft. A second suspect, Danielle Tobin (35) also of Magnolia was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property after selling some of the stolen items. Welsh was remanded to the Camden County Jail.
On 04/28 at 1220 a search warrant was executed on a vehicle subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on N. Broadway and King Street. Kyle Young (48) of Camden City was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute. Searches of his vehicle and residence led to the recovery of 2 lbs of marijuana, a quantity of Percocet and Oxycontin pills and $14,966.00 in U.S. Currency. His 2003 Ford F150 was also seized.
On 04/29 at 0459 the WaWa was robbed by an unknown black male. The male threatened the employee, stating he had a gun and fled with cash.
On 04/30 at 1130 a motor vehicles stop on Broadway and Essex led to the arrest of Sarah Coogan (23) of Erial. Coogan was found to be in possession of 1 bag of heroin, 1 empty bag and 1 hypodermic syringe. She was charged and released.
On 04/30 at 2327 a resident of the 100 block of S. Filmore street reported that their front door was smashed by a piece of concrete.
On 05/01 at 1452 Charles Bavers (25) of Bellmawr was arrested after attempting to cash a bad check at TD Bank. Bavers stole the check from a church in Pennsauken and attempted to cash it before officers arrived. He was charged and released.
On 05/01 at 1925 an officer conducting a property check at Freedom Pier observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot. Steven Robinson, Jr (28) was arrested after the officer located 5 vials of marijuana in Robinson’s possession. He was charged and released.
On 05/01 at 2058 officers responded to Broadway and Hudson for an unconscious female on a NJ Transit Bus. Kristen Zieger (29) of the 400 block of Market Street had overdosed on heroin while seated in the bus. She was charged with Possession of Hypodermic Syringe and Being Under the Influence of CDS.
On 05/02 at 0138 a vehicle parked in Cheerleader’s lot was stolen by an unknown suspect. The 1997 Honda was last seen north on Route 130.
On 05/02 at 0529 Crell Advertising on Jersey Ave reported that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered the business and stole cash. Offices were ransacked as well. The suspects were captured on video and officers are working to identify them.
On 05/02 at 1458 a motor vehicle stop on Route 130 south led to the arrest of Edward Yeager (71) of Chatham Square Apartments. Yeager was charged with DWI and his blood-alcohol level was .13%, above the legal limit of .08%.
On 05/02 at 1518 a resident of the 800 block of Powell Street reported that between 0800 and 1500 hours unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the residence, stealing jewelry and clothing.
On 05/03 at 1655 a resident of the 900 block of Essex Street reported that between 0715 and 1655 hours unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the residence, stealing a laptop computer and jewelry.
Additionally, officers responded to 4 motor vehicle accidents, 14 domestic violence incidents and made 33 arrests.
