On 4-22-2012, at approximately 10:37 A.M., the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the Dunkin Donuts Store, located at 583 Berlin Cross Keys Road, for a report of a store employee threatening other employees with a knife.
Upon their arrival, they were met by the manager, who stated that he had an altercation inside the store with one of his employees. He identified the employee as Manjit R. Singh. He had just finished a counseling session with this employee about his work performance, when he suddenly became enraged and wanted to fight the manager. Officers located the suspect in the parking lot of Classic Carwash (586 Cross-Keys Road, Sicklerville) with the assistance of a Winslow Township Police Officer. Officers began to search the area for the reported weapon and checked the area of Walgreens where the suspect was just inside and had left with a plastic bag. Officers checked the area by the trash cans outside the store entrance and located the plastic bag containing the knife used during the incident.
Manjit Singh, age 21, from Windemere Drive in Sicklerville, was charged with Terroristic Threats, Weapons Offenses and Criminal Mischief. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of $50,000.00 bail.
