Good work Jim Carlucci! Jim caught the mayor and his cabinet discussing an ordinance that would raise their own salary in closed session. Jim threatened a lawsuit and the council backed down, but not unanimously. See the news article at

Councilwoman Kathy McBride and Councilman Alex Bethea voted against disclosing the closed session minutes to the public. McBride has asked the Attorney General to investigate who publicly leaked information about the private discussion. Acting city attorney Walter Denson said that there was no clandestine effort to do anything untoward or sinister but that the closed session was held to protect the privacy of those being discussed.
