The Gloucester Township Community Notification System (Global Connect) will keep you in touch with what is happening in our town. Your partnership with the Gloucester Township Police Department keeps you informed of important community events, media release information, traffic alerts, road closures, and community safety information. Please also know that your participation with the Gloucester Township Community Notification System has helped make our community even safer.
Our crime fighting strategy encourages tips and information from members of the community. As you have experienced, we have distributed to members of our Community Notification System pictures or video of persons of interest who may have been involved in offenses such as shoplifting and other crimes. These community bulletins have been entitled CrimeStoppers. Proudly, we have received citizen tips which have resulted in arrests.
During this holiday season we ask that you “tell a friend” about our Community Notification System. As you come together this holiday season with family and friends, take just a few minutes to have them also become our partners as well. Attached is a Community Notification Sign-Up Sheet. We invite you to have your family or friends list their emails on the attached form and for you to return it to the Gloucester Township Police Department. Since many of our community messages involve traffic safety and our CrimeStoppers messages feature persons of interest from throughout the region, recipients do not have to be residents of Gloucester Township to receive our community messages.
