First, Don Ackerman, Jamestown, was lucky enough to have his name drawn from the 10,425 applicants for one of the five bighorn sheep licenses available through a drawing in North Dakota.
And second, Ackerman, who successfully filled his tag, did so at the age of 86 and became the oldest hunter in North Dakota to bag a bighorn sheep.
