PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Police opened fire on a teenage suspect following reports of a home invasion in South Philadelphia Monday, later learning the suspect is the homeowner's grandson.
Concerned neighbors contacted authorities after noticing suspicious activity in a home on the 200 block of Gerritt Street at about 2 a.m.
When police arrived, they confronted a 18-year-old male in the home. The teen was allegedly on the phone and holding a knife, threatening to kill himself.
