Biggest heart on Lions is in smallest player
(Courier Post)The loudest cheer from the crowd in the Gloucester High School bleachers came when the Lions were already ahead by 33 points late in the third quarter.
That is when senior Michael Pantalone made a tackle on his first
play of the game. Actually, he assisted on the tackle with senior Ryan Wyatt.
Still, senior Anthony Lewis came over and tapped Pantalone on his shoulder pads after the play.
And, still, junior Dan Burrows gave Pantalone a pat on the back as he got off the ball carrier.
That is when Pantalone's name was announced on the tackle. That is when he got the loudest ovation.
However, the biggest cheer from the crowd didn't just come for being the smallest player on the field.
It came for so much more than Pantalone being 4-foot-9.
