Gerald “Jay Bird” Sturmfels
Funeral Services Monday
Services will be held on Monday August 28 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Etherington Funeral Home 700 Powell Street for Gerald Edward Sturmfels, of Gloucester City who died on August 25, 2006 at the age of 49.
Mr. Sturmfels, known to his friends as Jay Bird, was an excellent banjo and guitar player and belonged to the Broomall and Fralinger String band for many years. He worked as a house painter and all around handyman.
Survived by his mother, Charlotte Sturmfels, wife of Laura Abate. Dear father of Gerald E. Jr., Christine and Kenneth, and stepfather of Paula.
Also survived by his brothers and sisters, John, Robert, Margaret, Michael, Walter, Henry and Mary.
Interment will be private at the request of the family.
