Funeral services will be held Monday, August 21, at the Ellis-Stiefel Funeral Home, 301 Highland Ave. for Herbert R. Riggins, 78, of Westville who passed away August 16, 2006 at the Underwood Memorial Hospital, Woodbury.
Monday’s viewing will begin at 9 a.m. followed by services at 11 a.m.
A former employee of the E. I. Dupont Company of Gibbstown, Herbert was also a past lifeguard for the Ocean City Beach Patrol.
Mr. Riggins was a member of the South Jersey Umpires Association for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Miriam nee Lawrence; two sons, Russell his wife Valerie, and Raymond his friend Nedra; a daughter Cathy (Mark) Cannon; a sister Jeanne Hoff; 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and Chris the cat.
Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers the family request donation in his memory be sent to the Westville Baptist Church, Summit Ave., Westville 08093.
