Grand Opening This Weekend
Meadowbrook Run Construction Has Begun
By Bill Cleary
The first major housing construction that has occurred in Gloucester City in many years is underway with flying colors.

Work on Beazer Homes Meadowbrook Run being built on the grounds of the former Starlite Drive In, Route 130, and Klemm Avenue began recently and the first home is almost complete.
Meadowbrook Run will consist of 64 single three level homes with a price range in the mid $200,000. Taxes on the properties will run between $7500 and $8400. At first the taxes were estimated to be around $9700 for the four bedroom homes all with a two-car garage and 2.5 baths.
The last project of this size in Gloucester City would have been the Cypress Garden Homes that were built back in the 1960’s.
According to Joanne Talevi, Meadowbrook new home counselor, there have already been three homes sold. Besides Joanne the other sales representative is Glenn Henson.
There are three models being built. The Stanhope, which is 2074 square feet; the Andover, 2182 square feet; and the Byram, 2164 square feet.
Meadowbrook will hold its grand opening this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 26 and August 27.
The sales office is open Sunday and Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office phone number is 856-742-1286.
