ENHANCING GLOUCESTER CITY’S IMAGE-If the Gloucester City Public Works Department still have their paintbrushes available it would be nice if they put a fresh coat of paint on the traffic barrier at the Little League Field at the foot of Monmouth Street.
Doesn't it make you wonder who is responsible for allowing this barrier to rust away? This is an eyesore. If your property looked this bad you would be cited by the Housing Authority.
The City Public Works Department has two foreman (Gorman and Sounder) who ride around all day taking in the scenery. Overseeing the department is Bowie Johnson, superintendent. Then we have a mayor and six council people along with a city administrator. Out of all those mentioned one of them would have to ride by this eyesore sometime during the day. And you would think say to themselves, that thing needs a coat of paint or should be replaced."
Am I asking too much from our elected officials and city employees?
If so let me know.
